Pisac Ruins
One of the most spectacular views of the beginning of the Sacred Valley, the Pisac ruins are very strategically located. The ruins are situated atop the hills at the entrance to the Sacred Valley. You’ll see beautiful agricultural terraces built by the Inca, a cemetery and what was once a thriving Inca city.
Pisac Market
A must see destination, this market is where you can find handcrafted and authentic souvenirs. Artisans and villagers arrive from different rural communities to offer all kind of unique fabrics, pottery, silver jewelry, and more. You can shop or just enjoy the bustling atmosphere as you watch locals go about their daily errands.
Awanacancha
An optional stop, this is a private initiative project where you can enjoy the beauty of llamas, alpacas, vicunas and guanacos. Also you’ll see the traditional Inca weaving process, which was the principal activity of families here during Inca times that continues to this day.
Ccochahuasi
Another option is the Ccochahuasi animal sanctuary. This is a shelter for species at risk of extinction, especially the magnificent Andean condor and other rescued animals.
